Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert is confident that striker Christian Benteke will remain at the club.
The 22-year-old, who moved to Villa Park from Genk last summer, has been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur following his impressive form during a season that could end in relegation for the Midlands side.
"Christian is playing very well for us and that's the main thing," ITV Sport quotes Benteke as saying. "It doesn't concern me who he is linked with and who he is not linked with.
"It proves he's doing well for me and doing well for himself. That doesn't interest me, what other people think. I don't read the headlines. I just get told."
Asked whether Benteke will stay if Villa remain in the Premier League, Lambert replied: "Yes. I don't have a problem with that at all. As far as I'm concerned, the guy is here and he isn't going anywhere until I say so or not really. That's the bottom line."
Benteke has netted 15 goals so far this season.
