Paul Lambert: 'Aston Villa will bounce back'

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is confident that his players will bounce back from Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Fulham.

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has insisted that his side will bounce back from Sunday's defeat to Fulham in the Premier League.

Villa saw their unbeaten run of five games come to an end at Craven Cottage as they lost 2-0 thanks to goals from Steve Sidwell and Dimitar Berbatov.

"Five games unbeaten has been great, we went to some tough places and got some points," Sky Sports News quotes the Scot as saying.

"We're still sat where we are in the table which is great, and if you put it into perspective we're still three points behind Manchester United which is great.

"So there's no doom and gloom, we've lost a game of football but we'll bounce back."

Villa return to Premier League action on Sunday when they play host to champions Manchester United.
