Alex McLeish says that Charles N'Zogbia needs to be more 'consistent' on the pitch in order to start enjoying football again.

Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish believes that Charles N'Zogbia needs to pick up his performance on the pitch in order to enjoy playing again.

The Villa winger recently wrote on Twitter that he is "unhappy" with life in the Midlands, but later deleted the comment from his page.

"If Charles is not enjoying his football, then he needs to do something about it on the pitch by consistently playing well," said McLeish.

"It's no coincidence that the best moments he has had in a Villa shirt have come when he is working hard, because that's the best way to get rewards in any line of business."

N'Zogbia has been a Villa player for eight months since moving from Wigan Athletic.
