Aston Villa on-loan striker Grant Holt is confident that the Midlands club will keep their place in the Premier League.
Paul Lambert's men are just three points above the relegation zone with as many games left to play.
Despite having trips to Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur to contend with, Holt, who is on loan from Wigan Athletic, believes that last month's victory over Chelsea proves that they can get points in important fixtures.
"We're not chucking games away, we've got three games left of the season and it's in our own hands," the Birmingham Mail quotes Holt as saying.
"I'd rather be in our position than teams sitting down there with two games left. Look what we've done against the better sides, like Chelsea, and we can perform."
Villa will host Hull City this weekend.
