Aston Villa right-back Alan Hutton has signed a new contract with the Premier League club.
The 29-year-old had originally found himself out of favour at Villa Park following Paul Lambert's arrival as manager in 2012, which saw him loaned out to Nottingham Forest, Mallorca and Bolton Wanderers.
However, he has returned to the starting lineup this season and his reintegration has seemingly been completed with the news that the Scotland international has agreed to extend his deal with Villa by another three years.
"Like everybody else here, I've always trained hard so I've been able to come back strong this season and the benefits of that have been excellent for me," he told the club's official website.
"I kept my head down, worked hard, came in every day and it's paid off. Now I just want to go on and take this opportunity given me by the manager.
"We've made a really strong start to the season and we want to continue in the same vein. The squad has depth and a great mix of youth and experience which should stand us in good stead over the rest of the season."
Hutton joined Villa from Tottenham Hotspur back in the summer of 2011.
