Dutch defender Ron Vlaar has said that a proposed move to Aston Villa would be a "dream come true".
Vlaar, who impressed at the heart of Feyenoord's defence last season, is hopeful a move to Birmingham can become a reality.
"On Sunday I was in Birmingham and I spoke with coach Paul Lambert and I got a very positive impression. Aston Villa just want me," he said.
"I have talked to our technical director Martin van Geel and I told him I liked the idea of moving to them. A move to Aston Villa would be a dream come true."
The 27-year-old is expected to cost Villa around £8m as manager Paul Lambert looks to strengthen his squad.
