Report: Luciano Vietto ready to return

A report claims that Atletico Madrid forward Luciano Vietto is ready to return to first-team action after recovering from recent appendix surgery.

Atletico Madrid forward Luciano Vietto will reportedly be available for selection for next weekend's La Liga clash against Real Betis.

The Argentine, who joined Atletico from Villarreal in the summer, has been on the sidelines since early October after being forced to undergo an appendix operation.

According to AS, however, the 21-year-old has used the international break to return to full fitness and he will be available for Atletico's next league match.

Vietto scored his first Atletico goal in a 1-1 draw with Real Madrid at the start of October.

It was initially thought that the forward was suffering with a stomach illness, before investigations showed that the problem was appendicitis.
