France and Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has revealed that his sister was able to escape last night's terror attack at the Bataclan theatre in Paris.
The theatre, where rock band Eagles of Death Metal were playing, was one of six locations in the French capital that were targeted as part of a coordinated attack for which the Islamic State group has claimed responsibility.
At the time, Griezmann was playing for France in an international friendly against Germany at the Stade de France, where three men are reported to have died after suicide bombers detonated just outside the stadium.
In total, at least 128 people have been killed and up to 100 of those were in the Bataclan, where gunmen reportedly stormed the building and claimed hostages after opening fire on the crowd.
Griezmann took to Twitter to confirm that his sister had escaped the theatre without harm.
"Thank God my sister was able to exit the Bataclan," he wrote. "All my prayers go to the victims and their families. #ViveLaFrance"
French president Francois Hollande was in attendance at the Stade de France, but left midway through the match for a crisis meeting and declared a state of emergency.
