Carles Puyol: Ajax were "more intense"

Barcelona defender Carles Puyol says that Ajax were "more intense" in their 2-1 defeat to the Dutch side in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Barcelona defender Carles Puyol has claimed that his side struggled with a lack of intensity in their 2-1 defeat to Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

The Dutch side stunned their illustrious visitors as they took a two-goal first-half lead, and Puyol said that Barca did not deserve to get anything from the game.

"Ajax were a lot more intense than us," Puyol told reporters

"In the first half they were far better, and you can't give one half away in
Europe."

Despite the defeat, Barca have still qualified for the knockout stages.
