Gerard Deulofeu "very happy" to return to Barcelona

Spanish attacker Gerard Deulofeu says that he cannot wait to form part of Barcelona's first-team squad next season.

Spanish attacker Gerard Deulofeu has revealed that he cannot wait to form part of Barcelona's first-team squad next season.

The 20-year-old, who has been with the Catalan outfit since 2003, spent last season on loan at Everton.

The English side reportedly wanted to extend the agreement, but the youngster will battle for a first-team position at Barca in the 2014-15 campaign.

"I'm very happy, I've missed all of this... I know how much competition there is for places here, but I think that's a good thing," he told reporters.

"I know what kind of football I can offer and I'll do my best to help. I want to win trophies and contribute as much as I can."

Deulofeu recently made his first senior appearance for Spain.
