Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola insists that he will not change the German side's style of football.

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has insisted that he will not attempt to introduce Barcelona's style of football into the German club.

The Spaniard, who took charge of Bayern this summer, enjoyed vast success with Barcelona during his four years in charge of the Spanish outfit.

"Barcelona players have different qualities to those of Bayern. I need to adjust to the players, not the other way around," he told reporters at a press conference on Monday.

"Football belongs to the players, not to the coach. The fans come to the Allianz Arena to watch the players play rather than because of me. I will have to adapt. The formation I use does not really matter."

Bayern won the treble last season.
