Barcelona head coach Gerardo Martino has confirmed that they have agreed to sign highly-rated teenager Alen Halilovic from Dinamo Zagreb.
The 17-year-old Croatian prompted reports that he was bound for the Camp Nou when he tweeted: "Thanks Dinamo Zagreb for everything!!My first club and biggest love!!Now is time to move on to Barcelona."
The midfielder had previously interested Tottenham Hotspur, but Martino has now revealed that they have finally won the race for Halilovic, who will continue his development in the Barca B team.
"These negotiations, or the bid to sign this player, started in 2010," he told reporters. "He's coming here to play for the B team."
Halilovic is said to have a tattoo on his wrist dedicated to the Catalans' fiercest rivals Real Madrid.
