Barcelona are reportedly ready to part ways with long-serving midfielder Sergio Busquets in order to free up space for AC Milan's Franck Kessie.
The cash-strapped club are rumoured to have made Kessie a top target for the January window, despite their worrying financial situation.
Barca are not alone in showing an interest in the 24-year-old as Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea have also been linked.
According to El Nacional, the Catalan giants are so serious about signing Kessie that they are even prepared to sacrifice Busquets, who has been a mainstay in their side for the past 14 seasons.
It is claimed that Barca still believe they can raise a large sum through the sale of Busquets, which would allow them to freshen up their squad with the addition of Kessie.
Ivory Coast international Kessie is under contract at San Siro until the end of the season, but he may agree fresh terms with Milan in the coming weeks.
