Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez reportedly tops Barcelona's list of targets as they seek a replacement for Luis Suarez.
Uruguayan striker Suarez has lost his edge this season, scoring in just two of Barca's last 10 matches, and he is expected to be phased out.
Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona chiefs favour Gomez over more high-profile names as he already has experience of playing in La Liga with Celta over the past two years.
Gomez, an international teammate of Suarez, has a release clause of £43m and that could prove a stumbling block.
Should the Spanish champions miss out on the 22-year-old they may instead focus on signing one of Andre Silva or Luka Jovic.
