Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are reportedly giving consideration to a swap deal involving Antoine Griezmann and Alvaro Morata.
Both players are currently on loan away from their parent clubs, Barcelona's Griezmann at Atletico and Morata spending a temporary period with Juventus.
In each case, there are options for permanent deals to be activated, but it appears that the two clubs may prefer to engineer a proposal of their own.
According to Marca, Barcelona sporting director Mateu Alemany held discussions with Atletico CEO Miguel Angel Gil Martin earlier this week.
Much will depend on whether Juventus decide to activate their option to sign Morata, but a return of just 11 goals this campaign makes that unlikely.
Instead, the respective club officials may try to put together a straight-swap deal, with Barcelona currently in the market for a new centre forward and happy to offload Griezmann at the earliest opportunity.
