Barcelona 'keen to bring in Steven N'Zonzi from Sevilla'

A report claims that Sevilla midfielder Steven N'Zonzi, previously linked with a trio of Premier League clubs, is wanted by Barcelona.

Sevilla midfielder Steven N'Zonzi has emerged as a transfer target for La Liga champions Barcelona, according to a report.

The France international, who featured five times in his national side's triumphant World Cup campaign this summer, is also a long-term target for Arsenal.

Despite angling for a route out of Sevilla by admitting last season that he wants to further his career elsewhere, Los Rojiblancos have warned clubs that it will take £35m to sign the 29-year-old.

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo indicates that Barca are tempted to trigger that buy-out clause, as they look to strengthen in the defensive midfield area for Ernesto Valverde's second season in charge.

Everton, Roma and West Ham United have also been touted as possible destinations for in-demand N'Zonzi.
