Barcelona are reportedly considering a summer move for veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

The 41-year-old spent the 2018-19 campaign with Paris Saint-Germain but will be leaving the French champions on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of this month.

Barca are expected to be in the market for a new stopper this summer as number two Jasper Cillessen wants to leave in order to secure first-team football.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen is the undisputed number one at Camp Nou, with the Germany international developing into one of the best goalkeepers in world football during his time with the Spanish giants.

According to Sky in Italy, should Cillessen depart then Barca could move for Buffon, who has no plans to retire despite his advancing years.

Buffon has played over 900 professional matches during spells with Parma, Juventus and PSG.
