Sergio Busquets has agreed a new five-year contract at Barcelona.
The Catalan giants announced the news via their official website this morning, adding that the midfielder has an option of a two-year extension from 2021 depending on the number of games that he plays.
The 28-year-old has spent his entire senior career at the Spanish club, progressing from the B team in 2008 before going on to make 390 appearances in all competitions.
It has been revealed that a €200m (£171.6m) release clause has been written into the fresh terms.
Barcelona have confirmed that Busquets will put pen to paper on the new deal on Thursday - one day after the team's La Liga clash against Atletico Madrid at Camp Nou this evening.
