Dani Alves signs new Barcelona deal

Dani Alves signs a contract extension with Barcelona until 2017.

Dani Alves has signed a two-year contract extension with Barcelona until 2017.

The Brazilian defender's new deal at Camp Nou includes the option of a third season.

Alves's previous contract with the recently-crowned European champions was due to expire this summer.

Manchester United and Inter Milan were both heavily linked with the full-back, who joined Barca from Sevilla in 2008 for an initial fee of £23m.
