Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng has said that Arsenal are a "dangerous" opponent, ahead of their Champions League last-16 tie.
The European champions knocked out the Gunners at the same stage last season, and Boateng has admitted that there are a number of opposition players that his teammates will have to keep a close eye on.
"Obviously, I am very excited," he told the New York Times. "I think it's a big game, the hardest game we can get at this stage. We have to be focused. I have to say that I love the Champions League because it is a special atmosphere.
"The last result for them in the Premier League was not so good, but everyone knows when it comes to the Champions League they will play different. And we know that everyone wants to beat us. Arsenal is dangerous. We are playing away and we must prepare intensively.
"They have a few good players. [Mesut] Ozil is my best friend on their team, he can make the game on his own. We also have to worry about Jack Wilshere, also [Olivier] Giroud is very dangerous and [Santi] Cazorla is always dangerous and plays very quick."
Boateng joined Bayern Munich from Manchester City in July 2011.
