Report: Bayern Munich's Xherdan Shaqiri chooses to sign for Wolfsburg

Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri is reportedly poised to snub Liverpool for a move to Wolfsburg in January.

Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri is reportedly planning to sign for Wolfsburg in the January transfer window.

Widespread reports have claimed that the Bundesliga champions are ready to offload the Swiss international, who has been heavily linked to Liverpool.

The 23-year-old was believed to be close to a switch to Anfield in the summer, but Bayern prevented the move.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Shaqiri is edging towards a switch to fellow German side Wolfsburg as they are currently second in the Bundesliga table and could qualify for Champions League football next season.

Shaqiri has been a Bayern player since 2012.
