Birmingham City manager Lee Clark insists that he has been "encouraged" by his side's performances since the middle of December.

Birmingham City manager Lee Clark has revealed that his side travel to Hull City on Saturday "full of confidence".

The Blues have moved up to 16th place in the Championship table in recent weeks, and the former Huddersfield Town boss believes that his team can earn a result at the KC Stadium.

Clark told the Birmingham Mail: "I think we've been turning the corner for a long time.

"We've had one or two little bumps along the way, but since a couple of weeks before Christmas overall the performances have been very, very encouraging.

"We've got individuals who are playing well. More importantly, the group are a strong unit and we go to Hull full of confidence."

Birmingham have lost just one league game since New Year's Day.
