Birmingham have maintained their unbeaten home run with a 3-0 win over Blackpool Town at St. Andrews this afternoon.
Blues wide man Jean Beausejour found Marlon King after a run down the left for a close chance in the opening stages, but the veteran striker skewed his shot wide of the mark.
It took until the final minute of the first half for Birmingham to break the deadlock. Wide man Chris Burke drove his corner in towards defender Curtis Davies, who powered it home to put the hosts up at the half.
Burke provided again after the break, sliding striker King in behind Blackpool's high line with the ball at his feet and allowing him to slot the ball past Seasiders keeper Mark Howard.
Minutes later, referee Craig Pawson dismissed former Birmingham man Barry Ferguson for an unfair challenge in the middle of the park, sending the away side down to ten men.
With minutes to go, a Birmingham long ball up the field found substitute Nathan Redmond, who drilled a low shot into the back of the net.
