Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer has praised his team for their "magnificent" performance during Saturday's 2-0 victory over Charlton Athletic.
Rovers ended their three-game winless run in the Championship as two goals from Jordan Rhodes gave them the points at Ewood Park.
Having seen his side come in for criticism in recent weeks, Bowyer believes that they responded in impressive fashion against the Addicks.
"You'd have thought we hadn't won for about 10 seasons the way some people were talking about us, but it made us stick together and come out fighting," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
"Our intensity in our game with and without the ball was magnificent. We never let Charlton settle and we were able to control the game."
Blackburn continue their Championship campaign on Boxing Day when they travel to local rivals Bolton Wanderers.
