Yakubu Aiyegbeni has joined Chinese club Guangzhou R&F from Blackburn Rovers.
The Nigerian forward signed a three-year deal with the Super League side for an undisclosed fee.
Yakubu follows in the footsteps of former Premier League stars Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka, who now ply their trade with Shanghai Shenhua.
"It's a new adventure for me after playing in Israel and England," said the striker.
"I've been here for only three days and I can feel the love, warmth and the professional attitude of the people.
"There were many clubs interested according to the media, but the only people who made direct contact have been Guangzhou R&F."
The 29-year-old scored 137 goals for five different clubs during his time in England. He found the net 17 times for Blackburn last season.
