Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he acted 'stupidly' during his side's Champions League encounter with Napoli.
The 46-year-old was sent to the stands in the 30th minute of Dortmund's 2-1 defeat to Napoli for an angry outburst at the fourth official following the Italian side's opening goal.
Despite his frustrations, the German coach has revealed that he apologised to the match officials at the end of the defeat.
"I apologised immediately after the game to my team, the fourth official and the referee as well," BBC Sport quotes Klopp as saying.
"I have to accept the consequences for my actions. I was like a clown out there. That was stupid. My emotions turned a well-run game into a hectic affair."
Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller was also sent off during the clash for handling the ball outside of his own penalty area.
