Henrikh Mkhitaryan out for "six weeks"

A thigh injury will keep Borussia Dortmund's Henrikh Mkhitaryan out of action until February next year.

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be sidelined for the next "six weeks" with a thigh problem.

The attacking midfielder suffered the injury during his side's 1-0 defeat at the hands of Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

A subsequent scan on the problem has revealed the extent of the damage, which is expected to keep the Armenian out of action until February next year.

The 25-year-old has made 18 appearances for Dortmund in all competitions this season, in which he has scored one goal.
