Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is hopeful that Marc Pugh will sign a new contract with the League One club.
The 25-year-old, who rejected fresh terms in the summer, is reportedly been on joining on a Championship club in January. However, Howe has revealed that he will do all he can to secure the striker.
"I know there are a couple, one in particular Marc Pugh, that we want to address if we can. But, hopefully, all the lads will want to be part of what we are trying to do," Howe told the Bournemouth Daily Echo.
"I have had a brief conversation with him and his representative but it will be something that, hopefully, we can sort out. Hopefully, Marc is enjoying his time here. If he can see that we are progressing as a football club and trying to get to where he wants to play, then hopefully he will stick with us.
"Ever since we first saw him, we immediately really liked him, his characteristics and the way he plays the game. He scored two really good goals on Saturday and looked a real threat throughout."
Pugh has scored 29 goals for the club.
