Marcelo has criticised match officials for failing to award Brazil a penalty in the goalless draw with Group A rivals Mexico on Tuesday night.
The full-back went down inside the box late on, despite replays suggesting there was little contact between him and Raul Jimenez, and he is certain that the hosts should have been given the chance to secure the victory from the spot.
"When I controlled the ball he grabbed my shoulder, and if he pulled me inside the box, it was a penalty," the Real Madrid defender told reporters.
"He pulled me. If he hadn't done that, I would've taken the ball. I would've made it to the ball and crossed it to one of my team mates."
Brazil will look to secure qualification from Group A when they face Cameroon on Monday.
