Burnley reportedly plan to launch a bid worth £9m to sign Middlesbrough youngster Nathan Wood in the January transfer window.
The 17-year-old broke into the senior side last season, making three appearances in the EFL Cup under manager Tony Pulis.
Wood, the youngest player to represent Middlesbrough at senior level, has also attracted the interest of Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Everton.
According to The Sun, Burnley launched a failed attempt to sign Wood over the summer transfer window and will return with a £9m bid in January.
Sean Dyche's side are thought to be at the front of the queue to secure Wood's signature, with the Championship side likely to accept an offer of £9m for the teenager.
Burnley, who suffered a 3-0 defeat to Liverpool last time out, take on Brighton & Hove Albion after the international break.
