Burnley will reportedly make a bid for Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury before the transfer window closes.
The 24-year-old was linked with a move to the Premier League side during the summer, prior to signing a three-year contract extension with Forest in August.
However, it appears that the sacking of Reds boss Stuart Pearce on Sunday has unsettled the Championship club.
Burnley are hoping to take advantage of that situation by making an approach for Lansbury, according to the Daily Mail.
After being placed under a transfer embargo for breaching Financial Fair Play regulations, Forest might be tempted to sell the attacking midfielder for the right price.
Lansbury has netted five times in 22 appearances this season for the East Midlands side.
