Celtic have begun their defence of the SPL title with a 1-0 win over Aberdeen.
Kris Commons scored the decisive goal with 11 minutes remaining as the Hoops took the first step to retaining the title without the presence of Old Firm rivals Rangers.
Although Celtic were the better side throughout the 90 minutes, Aberdeen ensured they did not have it their own way and could be considered unfortunate not to earn a point.
After a quiet opening 45 minutes, Celtic improved after the break and they finally broke the deadlock on 79 minutes when Commons's shot from the edge of the penalty area found its way into the bottom-right corner of the net.
