Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho wary of "sharks" in Champions League knockout phase

Jose Mourinho admits that he is wary of the "sharks" awaiting Chelsea in the next round of the Champions League.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has warned his players that there are teams to be wary of in the knockout phase of the Champions League.

The Blues boss insisted that his side does not fear anybody, but admitted that there are a few "sharks" lurking in the last 16 of the competition.

"We don't fear anybody, but we know there are very good, strong teams in this competition," Mourinho told reporters.

"Last year we were close and we didn't have the team playing at such a high level as we do this season, so we can dream we will do it.

"But let's see if the sharks let us, because there are a few sharks in the ocean."

Chelsea will avoid their fellow group winners in the next round, but could face a tricky test against runners-up such as Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Blues topped Group G with 14 points after defeating Sporting Lisbon 3-1 at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening.
