Juan Mata: "We have to start again"

Juan Mata is confident that Chelsea can rediscover their winning form under interim coach Roberto Di Matteo.

Juan Mata believes that Chelsea are ready to recapture some winning form under interim manager Roberto Di Matteo.

A recent run of negative results saw Andre Villas-Boas sacked as the club's manager yesterday afternoon.

Spanish midfielder Mata has conceded that the squad has been under-performing of late, but is confident in their ability to turn things around.

"I think we have to start again," he told the club's official website. "We have a very good squad and we have two months to achieve our objectives in the Premier League, in the FA Cup and Champions League.

"We are not in a good moment, we are not in a good run of results, but we all want to change it. I think we are ready to change it."

Mata was Villas-Boas's record signing for the club, costing a reported £23m from Valencia last summer.
