Maurizio Sarri 'angry at Andreas Christensen for leaving substitutes' bench'

Chelsea centre-back Andreas Christensen angered manager Maurizio Sarri by heading for the dressing room 15 minutes early in the defeat to Arsenal, according to a report.

Andreas Christensen reportedly faces an uncertain future at Chelsea after angering manager Maurizio Sarri by leaving the substitutes' bench early during the defeat to Arsenal.

The Denmark international is alleged to have headed for the dressing room with 15 minutes still to go at the Emirates Stadium, before Sarri had made his third and final change.

Chelsea were already two goals down at the time and failed to recover as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat.

Christensen has been out of favour under Sarri, being used just once in the Premier League all season, and The Times suggests that he may now have fallen even further down the pecking order.

The report indicates that the 22-year-old informed his teammates that he was going to the toilet but he never returned to his seat, much to the annoyance of his manager.

Barcelona and AC Milan are rumoured to be among the sides to have expressed an interest in the out-of-favour defender, but Chelsea can demand a big fee as he still has three-and-a-half years to run on his contract.
