Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has admitted that Wednesday evening will be a 'key night' for the hopes of three teams in the hunt for Champions League qualification.
Fifth-placed Newcastle will head to Chelsea while Tottenham Hotspur visit Bolton Wanderers and Pardew claims that one team's chances could be destroyed at the end of the night.
Pardew said: "Although we are a point above Chelsea, we are certainly the outsiders. But Wednesday night is a key night.
"Tottenham have to go to Bolton and we play Chelsea and it might be just down to two after that.
"I just think you have to put it into the perspective of the season we have had. To be, with three games to go, a point above Chelsea and level with Spurs is just outstanding."
Pardew's team have only lost once in their last six matches.
