Arsene Wenger: 'Defeat to Chelsea will hamper Manchester City's title chances'

Arsene Wenger believes that Manchester City will find it "much more difficult" to win the Premier League if they lose to Chelsea tomorrow.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that Manchester City will have a mountain to climb if they lose to Chelsea on Saturday.

The Premier League title contenders go head to head tomorrow, with Chelsea currently five points above their rivals at the top of the table.

"When two big teams play each other, you always want a draw," Wenger told reporters. "Most of the time, you get it.

"I think a draw would be an acceptable result for Manchester City, because it would keep them in the race for the championship.

"There is still a long way to go, and they are only five points behind Chelsea. With an eight-point gap, it will be much more difficult, maybe."

Arsenal are 13 points behind leaders Chelsea.
