Chelsea are reportedly considering a shock move for Manchester United striker Robin van Persie this summer.
Doubts over the Dutchman's future at Old Trafford have emerged in recent weeks, with some reports claiming that manager David Moyes is worried about the forward's attitude.
The 30-year-old, who was signed by former manager Sir Alex Ferguson from Arsenal in 2012, helped guide United to Premier League glory last season, but has been plagued by injuries and inconsistent form during Moyes's first campaign in charge.
According to Tuttosport, Chelsea are currently leading the pack to sign Van Persie at the end of the season, while Juventus and Monaco are also said to be interested in the Dutchman.
It has been suggested that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is in the market for a new striker due to Samuel Eto'o, Fernando Torres and Demba Ba failing to make a significant impact at Stamford Bridge.
Reports have claimed that United are considering selling Van Persie as Moyes tries to rebuild the current setup.
