Chelsea have reportedly offered star forward Eden Hazard a contract worth £300,000 a week to fend off interest from Real Madrid.
The Belgium international has been open with his desire to join Los Blancos, admitting that it is a "dream" to represent the reigning European champions.
Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has not given up hope of tying down Hazard beyond 2020, however, hinting on Tuesday that a new deal is waiting to be signed.
According to the Daily Mail, the 27-year-old will become the highest-paid player in Chelsea's history if he puts pen to paper, but he wants to know Madrid's stance before committing.
Hazard has seven goals and five assists in the Premier League this season, but he has not found the back of the net in close to two months.
Chelsea are also rumoured to be in talks with David Luiz and Cesc Fabregas over extending their contracts.
