Chelsea are reportedly lining up a £32m raid for Everton pair Marouane Fellaini and Ross Barkley.
The Stamford Bridge outfit are willing to pay £22m for Fellaini, 24, who signed a five-year contract at Goodison just five months ago, according to the Daily Star.
The Blues would also try to sign Barkley, 18, for £10m before immediately loaning the player back to Goodison Park.
Manchester United have also been monitoring the progress of Barkley and Fellaini, the latter of whom was key in last Sunday's 4-4 draw at Old Trafford.
Chelsea made their first signing ahead of next season on Saturday by signing Germany midfielder Marko Marin, 23, from Werder Bremen.
