Eden Hazard would understand Petr Cech exit

Eden Hazard admits that he would not blame keeper Petr Cech if he opted to leave Chelsea in the summer after losing his place to Thibaut Courtois this season.

Eden Hazard has admitted that he would understand if keeper Petr Cech decided to leave Chelsea in the summer.

The 32-year-old has been forced to sit on the bench for the majority of the season after losing his first-team place to Thibaut Courtois.

Cech revealed that he was considering leaving the club and has been linked with several teams across Europe, and Hazard has conceded that if he were in a similar situation he would seek a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Hazard told Sky Sports News: "Thibaut and Petr are both very good, and when you are on the bench of course you want to play.

"He knows he has the quality to play at a good club, and of course if I'm a good player and I'm on the bench I want to leave - this is football."

Cech joined Chelsea in 2004 from Rennes.
