Juventus join race for Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud?

Juventus reportedly identify Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud as a potential transfer target ahead of the January transfer window.

Juventus are reportedly contemplating an approach for Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud at the start of 2021.

The Serie A champions have endured an inconsistent start to the campaign, winning just four of their nine games to sit six points adrift of leaders AC Milan.

With Juventus struggling when Cristiano Ronaldo is not involved, Andrea Pirlo is under pressure to find suitable alternatives ahead of the January window.

According to Calciomercato, Giroud is on their radar with the France international having just seven months remaining on his contract.

While Chelsea would rather keep the 34-year-old at Stamford Bridge, they are aware that the veteran wants first-team football ahead of Euro 2020.

Giroud is yet to start a game in the Premier League or Champions League this season.
