Everton are reportedly 'making very concrete steps forward' as they attempt to sign Sami Khedira.
The 33-year-old was not been involved for Juventus this season and is widely expected to leave the Italian champions when the January transfer window opens for business.
Manchester United and West Ham United have both been credited with an interest in the Germany international, who will see his current deal in Turin expire at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
However, according to Calciomercato, Everton are keen to finalise a move for Khedira, and the midfielder is hopeful of agreeing to a contract termination with the Old Lady at the start of 2021.
The German played under Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid, making 161 appearances for the Spanish giants in total before joining to Juve, where he has won five Serie A titles.
Everton started the season in impressive fashion but have now lost four of their last five Premier League matches, including a 1-0 home defeat to Leeds United on Saturday.
