Chelsea are reportedly monitoring Mario Balotelli's availability at AC Milan amid suggestions that the striker has grown disillusioned with life at the San Siro.
The 23-year-old is believed to be growing increasingly frustrated with the Rossoneri due to a perceived lack of investment in the playing staff by the club's hierarchy, with Massimiliano Allegri's men currently languishing in 13th place in the Serie A table.
According to Goal.com the striker's agent, Mino Raiola, has spread the word of his client's unhappiness with the Italian giants, with Blues boss Jose Mourinho said to be interested in the want-away star.
Mourinho, who worked with the Italian during their respective spells at Inter Milan, is believed to have retained an affection for his former player despite rumours that the duo endured a tumultuous relationship.
The former Manchester City forward has another three-and-a-half years remaining on his existing deal, having only joined the club from the Sky Blues last January for a fee in the region of £22m.
