Ruben Loftus-Cheek signs new Chelsea deal

Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek extends his contract with the Blues to the end of the 2020-21 season.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has signed a new deal keeping him at Chelsea until 2021, the club has announced.

The 20-year-old midfielder has been with the Blues since the age of eight and stepped up to the first team last season under Jose Mourinho.

"I'm delighted to sign a new contract at Chelsea and my focus is on working hard in training every day in order to push on and establish myself in the team," he said. "It really means a lot because this shows the club believe in me so I'm really happy.

"The club have done so much for me since I started here as an Under-8 and now I want to repay the faith they've shown in me with my performances on the pitch."

Loftus-Cheek has also represented England at Under-21 level, scoring once in six appearances.
