Maurizio Sarri has stated that he is "not interested" in what Thibaut Courtois's agent thinks about his client's future at Chelsea.
Christophe Henrotay has asked the Blues to show some compassion and allow the Belgium goalkeeper to join Real Madrid so that he can live close to his children, who reside in the Spanish capital.
The La Liga giants are reportedly determined to land Courtois before the end of the transfer window, which still has just under a month to run for European clubs.
Sarri, however, insists that he will speak directly to his player and made of point of stating that he does not want individuals who lack "a very high level of motivation" in his squad.
"I am not interested in the agent," the Italian told reporters when quizzed about Henrotay's comments.
"I want to hear Courtois [and see] if Courtois, tomorrow (Monday), will say to me the same.
"I have to speak with my player, of course. I want only players who play with a very high level of motivation."
Courtois is due to report back to Cobham for pre-season training on Monday following his post-World Cup break.
