Chelsea legend John Terry is reportedly considering a switch to Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon.

Chelsea legend John Terry has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Sporting Lisbon.

Terry has been without a club since being released by Aston Villa earlier in the summer, but it has been suggested that the 37-year-old intends to continue with his playing career.

According to A Bola, preliminary talks have been held regarding a switch to Sporting, although any move may have to wait until September.

The report claims that Terry has held discussions with Madeira Rodrigues, who is currently in the running to become the new president of the Portuguese club.

That decision will not be made until September 7, which could leave Terry to bide his time before making the next move of his career.
