Jackie McNamara: 'We deserved a point'

Dundee United manager Jackie McNamara believes that his side deserved Sunday's 2-2 draw with Hibernian in the Scottish Premier League.

Dundee United manager Jackie McNamara has insisted that his side deserved their 2-2 draw with Hibernian in the Scottish Premier League on Sunday.

The hosts looked to be heading for a defeat at Tannadice Park before Johnny Russell's late penalty secured a point.

"Some people are saying [the foul for the penalty] was outside the box but I thought we deserved at least a point for the second-half performance," McNamara told Sky Sports News.

Sunday's draw means that Dundee stay in ninth place in the SPL table.
