England striker Wayne Rooney has praised the influence of Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson ahead of their Group D match with Ukraine next week.
The 26-year-old is expected to return to the team for the final group match, and he has insisted that Hodgson's approach has helped the players.
"I think under the other managers there were elements of trust, but with Roy, he has given us a lot of rest time and a lot of down time and we understand what we have to do. It's good to put football aside, it's good to give your mind a rest," Rooney told reporters.
England need a point against Ukraine to secure a quarter-final spot.
