Theo Walcott: 'Danny Welbeck can do the business'

Theo Walcott tips England teammate Danny Welbeck to cause more problems at Euro 2012 as the tournament progresses.

Theo Walcott believes that Danny Welbeck will go from strength to strength following his first goal of Euro 2012 against Sweden last night.

Winger Walcott sent over a cross for the Manchester United man, who instantly guided the ball into the net for what proved to be the winning goal.

Discussing his teammate's credentials, Walcott now expects the striker to cause problems as the tournament progresses.

"That chance was massive, but Danny made it look easy," he told The Telegraph. "It was class, probably one of the best goals at this tournament and I am not just saying that because he's my friend.

"That goal had everything and shows that, despite being at such a young age he can do the business."

Both players are expected to start in England's next game against co-hosts Ukraine on Tuesday evening.
